Pre-spawning I use clean fine sand as a substrate. Pieces of peat have been scattered around. I use Microsorum pteropus as plants. I find them very usefull because Cory's love to attach their eggs to them. Because they just float around, it's easy to collect eggs, just pick up the plant, put it in a small container (under water) and move the eggs. They are good Nitrate-consumers too and are easy to grow. I change 10% of water weekly. I use mechanical and biological filtration. The tank size is 60 * 30 * 30 cm, and is lit by one 11Watt energy-saving lamp. I feed live Tubifex, red-mosquito larvea and water-fleas. I feed frozen red/white -mosquito larvea and cyclops. | ![]() |
